For banks, lenders, credit unions, savings funds and fintechs
Start beside your current core. Replace it when you're ready.
Add new financial products, customer apps and a modern back office while your current system keeps running. Launch loan, savings and payment products yourself, without buying implementation hours. When you're ready, Cowally becomes your core banking system.
Speed is safe because the limits are built in. Here is what your business team can change on its own, with approvals, and what still goes through technical review.

With Cowally: about 4 months
Who
A financial institution with more than 3 million members.
Starting point
A core system about 30 years old. Internally, the new loan products were estimated at about two years and a far larger budget.
What we did
Cowally ran alongside the existing core: customer apps, back office and the new loan products, connected to the system that keeps the existing accounts. The Cowally core was then put in place beside it.
Result
7 new loan products live in about 4 months, at roughly a tenth of the expected cost.
What comes next
A full move to the Cowally core, product by product.
For the people who have to say yes to the architecture. IT stays in charge of architecture, integrations and security; the business stops filing a ticket for every product change.

Modular core. Customers, products, the loan book, rules and risk, and accounting run as separate modules. Each can be updated, switched off or replaced without stopping the rest.
Changes that don't break other parts. Modules talk through stable, versioned connections and react to events, so a change in one place does not ripple into another.
Documented APIs to connect your current core, accounting, data platforms and providers.
APIs for every service, and MCP for governed AI access. Plug any piece into your systems, and give people and AI agents access with roles and rules.API MCP
No single point of failure. If one module goes down, the rest keep running.
Availability. A 99.5% uptime commitment, backups across data centers by default, and multi-region setups on request.
Private connectivity to your network, with fixed IP addresses for your access lists.
Monitoring of every transaction, with alerts before customers notice a problem.
Your choice of hosting. Hosted by us, or installed on your own servers.
Led by BIAN-certified architects, following the banking industry's open standard for modular design.
